Dubai Marina es el puerto marítimo más grande del mundo hecho por el hombre y está entre los mayores muelles del mundo en desarrollo. La construcción del proyecto comenzó en el año 1998, cubrirá un área de 4.9 millones de m2, ha sido emplazado a lo largo de 3.34 kilómetros de largo en la extensión del litoral de Dubai y es una mezcla de canal marítimo – ciudad, inspirándose en los tradicionales canales venecianos en la que se podrán acomodar alrededor de 120.000 personas en sus lujosos apartamentos y villas con vistas únicas.
La primera fase del proyecto de Dubai Marina cubre 10 hectáreas y fue construida entre los años 1999 y 2003 con un coste de 200 millones de dólares. En esta fase se construyeron seis torres de apartamentos en los muelles “Dubai Marina Towers”, 64 villas de lujo conectadas por una espectacular red de jardines, seis piscinas, 2.800 m2 de instalaciones deportivas, 2.000 plazas de garaje subterráneas, 2.000 m2 de restaurantes temáticos, 4.000 m2 de espacios comerciales.

Pelorus is the world's fourteenth largest private yacht at 377 feet 3 inches (115 metres) in length
with a price tag of US-$300 million (254 Million Euros). It was built at the Lürssen yard in Bremen, Germany to the design of Tim Heywood and was launched in 2003. It was briefly owned by a Miles businessman who sold it to Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich the following year. Abramovich had it refitted to his own requirements by Blohm & Voss. This included the addition of a second helicopter pad forward, four new zero-speed stabilisers and modifications to the exhaust, mast and stern.

En los años 20 Ettore Bugatti y Èmile Hermès se conocieron cuando el primero requirió una maleta para su modelo Royale. De allí surgió una profunda amistad y mutua admiración. Bugatti era amante de las disciplinas ecuestres y Hermès de los autos.
Al salir el último Bugatti de Molsheim en 1956 la relación quedó en suspenso. Fue hasta el Pebble Beach Concours d’Elégance de 2006 cuando ambas marcas se reencontraron.
